The song is about not looking back at the past, and explores themes of hope, emotional conflict, and unresolved feelings.
Instrumentally it all started on the breakdown with writing the piano for this one, then instantly felt it needed that euphoric yet rhythmic drop to have us go on a journey with this record that builds from start to finish.
